Profile of Partner Groups

Riverstown Enterprise Development (Sligo) Ltd was established in 1990 in direct response to the urgent need to rescue village from serious economic decline.  The group undertook a major capital project the development of community tourism enterprise - Sligo Folk Park & Agricultural Museum.  Through this project the group have been able to provide extensive work experience and training opportunities for people in the Riverstown area and have received many awards for their work. 

Brookeborough & District Community Development Association was established in 1993 with an original aim linked to the development of good relations and the social regeneration of area.  They also undertook a large capital project, the restoration of the derelict Station house as community resource and the only acknowledged ‘neutral’ venue in the area.  The group have been particularly successful in their support of child care initiatives and cross-community work.
